Some years ago I started a small business with the view that it would give me more freedom. I started it thinking I had the passion to drive it far and wide. I was wrong.
The business collapsed. I couldn’t handle it. It didn’t improve my happiness, it sapped it. It was a contributing factor to a breakdown in relationships. It put me in debt.
Most people look at businesses and their proprietors as these infallible things that just work for the sake of their success. Well, that wasn’t my business. My business was human and that saw to its decline.
